REPOST: VOYAGEATL INTRODUCES…

Hello Blessed and Chic friends! I’m so excited to share that I was featured in VoyageATL! I’m ecstatic and can’t wait for you to read a little bit about me!

Here we go!

VoyageATL:

Today we’d like to introduce you to Martine Bibanga.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Martine. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I was born and raised in Miami and shortly after that moved to Atlanta after graduating college. I started off my career as an educator teaching in the public schools, and I truly love educating, but I realized that I had put my dreams to the side. I wanted to be involved in styling and fashion to some capacity. Initially, I thought I had to choose one or the other. It’s not until I realized that I have a gift of teaching and fashion and ultimately bridged the two together. This love for fashion is the reason I launched my fashion and lifestyle blog and business Blessed and Chic LLC.

Blessed and Chic was birthed from the need to not just share fashion tips and provide styling consultations and services, but for a missing piece to help people understand that styling isn’t just for your outer appearance, but to be fashion inwardly too, coining my mantra “FASHION YOURSELF FROM THE INSIDE OUT.”

I use my gift of teaching, faith, and fashion to help people find their own sense of style.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
It hasn’t been a smooth road. Maintaining a blog and business is taking on another full-time job. It requires hours of planning, work, traveling, and spending your own money to fund your vision. There were many struggles when launching my business and building a brand, and continues to be. You have to understand that the fashion and blogging market is already saturated, and finding ways to stay ahead and ensure that I’m standing out is work! I’m nowhere near where I want to be, and I recognize I have ways to go, however I’m extremely thankful even for the struggles because it allows me to navigate through it and make adjustments and also help others too.

So, as you know, we’re impressed with Blessed and Chic LLC – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of and what sets you apart from others.
Blessed and Chic LLC is a consulting and styling business that offers styling tips and also services. Our main goal really is to teach our customers how to style themselves and to deeply understand inwardly why their style is more than just clothes but a small part of who they are visually.

So, what’s next? Any big plans?
My future plans are endless possibilities. I’m open to what’s meant for me. I do however plan on moving into merchandising & designing, fashion shows, and perhaps publishing a book one day.
