GUESS WHO’S BACK?

HEELLLOOO MY FRIENDS!

I’ve missed you all sooooo much. First, I want to thank all of you that actually reached out to me, encouraged me, and gave me a little boost during my hiatus. Your messages meant the world to me. I really needed it, especially during the time my mother was facing some serious health challenges. (She’s doing much better now, thanks for all your prayers).

I’m back from my hiatus and ready to go back to what I enjoy.

You are probably wondering where I’ve been these past six months or so, and many of you have even speculated some crazy and interesting ideas, however, I honestly needed a break. I was in need of a much, much, needed break! I realized that working hard does pay off indeed, but it’s even more rewarding to take the time out to rejuvenate your mind.

During that time of break, I prayed a whole lot, meditated, traveled, and spent time with my husband and family. This time also brought about some changes for me in my career as well, and that’s something I’ll share later.

Part of this break was a time of reflection for me. I wanted to refocus my thoughts of where I wanted to be as a person and professional overall. Towards the end of last year, I found myself overwhelmed and dissatisfied with what I wanted from my blog and business. This is when I made the decision to take a break. As I stated on one of my Instagram post:

“When I decided to pursue blogging, I honestly had no idea of the type of work it entailed. It was like taking on a full time job, except I was the boss, the employee, the manager, and everything else. I had dedicated a lot time to perfect my craft. Being a blogger isn’t easy. It’s more than just taking cute photos with nice outfits. It requires a lot of work and time. Since the start of the new year, I’ve taken a little break to study more and focus on just me as an individual. I found myself directing my focus on the wrong things last year and I lost track of why I began this journey of blogging to begin with.

My heart is to share my thoughts and my style to inspire women to find their strength to express their own styles outwardly while working with them inwardly. I love blogging and styling, however it is secondary to the things that are more important in my life. I had to shift some things around to make room for both my blogging life as well as personal life.”

6 months later…here I am, still learning, still working, and still passionate about fashion and helping others through my blog. My perspectives has definitely shifted and I’m rejuvenated and ready to get back to work.
