Today started off routinely for me. I found myself stuck in a stagnant state-of-mind buried underneath a lot of work, research, and writing. I’d become exhausted and my brain was tired. I was drifting away in my thoughts daydreaming about “God knows what” when I looked up and saw the sun shining ever so brightly through the window.
It was beautiful outside! I stopped what I was doing and decided to go for a drive. A few minutes into me driving, I got this crazy idea to do an impromptu photoshoot, which is out of the ordinary for me. Usually my photoshoots are done on the weekends because of work schedules and also strategically planned out. Fortunately for me, everything seemed to be in my favor. Before I knew it, I was planning a quick impromptu photo shoot.
Thankfully the sun stayed out much longer than I expected and my husband (also photographer) made it home just in time to take my pictures. It was nothing special or properly planned. I threw on an old outfit. Did my hair and makeup. The hubby drove me to the park nearby and we begin shooting the pictures. At that moment I saw an opportunity and ceased it. Sometimes in life you have to do that. You just gotta go with the flow. The day was too beautiful to go to waste. I wanted to capture the brightness of the sun and the beauty of the outdoors and I’m so glad I did.
